Car detailing is a set of treatments and processes aimed at taking care of your car down to the smallest detail, intervening on defects and imperfections present on the internal and external surfaces. It includes washing, decontamination, cleaning, polishing and maintenance aimed at safeguarding, aesthetically and structurally, the finishes of the most diverse internal and external surfaces of cars.
Each material has its own specific procedures and products.
/// THE PHASES OF CAR DETAILING
- Washing
It begins with the careful washing of the internal and external surfaces of the car in order to eliminate all dirt residues and surface contamination. No part is left out: bodywork, rims, tires, engine compartment, chrome and moldings, glass, fabric, leather and plastic interiors are carefully cleaned to prepare a perfect work base with the aim of preserving it and keeping it at its best over time.
- Decontamination
This operation is essential to obtain surfaces that are ready to best accommodate the subsequent phases of treatment. The objective of decontamination is to remove residues of resins, iron, tar, glue and limestone from the surfaces that could not be eliminated during the washing phase and that make the surface less smooth and silky.
- Polishing
Polishing allows you to eliminate oxidation, imperfections and light rather than deep scratches from the car paint, in order to obtain a perfectly smooth, shiny surface ready for the subsequent protective treatment.
- Protection
It is necessary to ensure that all the work carried out in the previous phases can last a long time. The types of protection to be applied to the car surfaces can be different. A wax, a SiO 2 -based sealant or a nanotechnological coating can be applied. The treatment is chosen based on the objectives of duration, brilliance, gloss, type of maintenance and budget available.
