Car detailing is a set of treatments and processes aimed at taking care of your car down to the smallest detail, addressing defects and imperfections present on both interior and exterior surfaces. It includes washing, decontamination, cleaning, polishing, and targeted maintenance to aesthetically and structurally preserve the finishes of various internal and external surfaces of cars.
Each material corresponds to specific procedures and products.
/// THE STAGES OF CAR DETAILING
- Washing
It begins with the careful washing of the car's internal and external surfaces to eliminate all dirt residues and surface contaminants. No part is left out: bodywork, wheels, tires, engine bay, chrome and moldings, glass, fabric interiors, leather, and plastics are carefully cleaned to prepare a perfect working base with the aim of preserving and maintaining it optimally over time.
- Decontamination
This operation is fundamental for obtaining surfaces ready to best receive the subsequent treatment phases. The goal of decontamination is to remove resin, iron, tar, glue, and limescale residues from the surfaces that could not be eliminated during the washing phase and that make the surface less smooth and silky.
- Polishing
Polishing allows the elimination of oxidations, imperfections, and light to deep scratches from the car paint, with the aim of obtaining a perfectly smooth, brilliant surface ready for the subsequent protective treatment.
- Protection
It is necessary to ensure that all the work carried out in the previous phases can last a long time. There can be different types of protection to apply to the car's surfaces. A wax, an SiO2-based sealant, or a nanotechnological coating can be applied. The treatment is chosen based on the goals of durability, brightness, gloss, type of maintenance, and available budget.
