The microfiber cloth is an indispensable tool to use for all surfaces of the car. It is useful for cleaning , distributing a product evenly, but also for drying the various surfaces of the car, both internal and external.
When taking care of your car, in addition to the products, it is essential to take into account the tools that you will use. Therefore, using quality cloths will improve the result.
Microfiber is made of a synthetic yarn usually made of 70/80% polyester and 20/30% polyamide. The section of a microfiber filament thanks to its star shape is able to collect and trap particles that a normal cloth is only able to move, especially when it comes to dry surfaces.
Another important element is the density of the cloth , the denser the microfibres, the more the cloth can absorb.
/// TYPES OF CLOTH
However, you need to pay attention to the cloth you are going to use because not all cloths are made the same way or of the same material. Each type of cloth corresponds to a specific task.
Multipurpose cloth : Multipurpose Microfiber cloth , thanks to its woven texture it has excellent cleaning qualities that adapt to any type of surface. In short, it is an all-purpose cloth.
Glass Cleaning : these cloths are specific for cleaning glass and crystal and, thanks to their characteristics, are designed not to leave any marks or streaks.
Drying : drying cloths are specifically designed to quickly dry the car's external surfaces without damaging the bodywork, thus avoiding the creation of micro-scratches. Furthermore, their generous dimensions make the job even easier and faster.
Nanotechnology : Ceramic Guard and 2Facelite cloths are specifically designed for applying nanotechnology sealants and protectors. Thanks to their consistency, laser cutting and the absence of seams and labels, these cloths avoid the risk of leaving scratches or marks on the surface.
/// CLOTH CARE
When purchasing a new cloth, it may be a good idea to wash it before using it, to ensure that any contaminants (if any) are removed.
The cloth should never be washed with other fabrics otherwise the microfiber will collect the free fibers reducing its effectiveness. Furthermore, the use of fabric softeners or whiteners is not recommended as these types of products clog the pores, the cloth can therefore be washed with hot water at 30° and a specific product such as Microfiber Wash or with MFX , avoiding the use of fabric softener. We also recommend using the centrifuge at minimum power. If the cloth is used often it will be necessary to wash it frequently.
Microfiber cloths can be dried naturally, by letting them air dry, or by tumble drying on a delicate cycle. Never in the sun. Another tip is to cut off any labels before using the cloth to avoid the risk of leaving scratches or marks on the surfaces of the vehicle.
