Lavaggio auto perfetto: il metodo che nessuno ti ha mai spiegato

Perfect car wash: the method no one has ever explained to you

Car Wash Step-by-Step: Quick and Safe Guide

From pre-wash to drying, the key steps to washing your car without micro-scratches, using the right products and tools.

  1. Wheels & Tires: First Scratch-Free Cleaning

First, clean the wheels and tires with a gentle wheel cleaner, using brushes if necessary, then rinse.

  2. Alkaline Foam Pre-wash: Application and Rinse

Generously apply the alkaline pre-wash over the entire bodywork using a foam technique (with a foam cannon) or a spray mister. Observe the dwell time and rinse thoroughly, starting from the bottom up to half the door. Then restart from the top: maintain a precise jet (like a "glove") and cover every area without leaving residues.

  3. Two-Bucket Method: Safe Bodywork Washing

Prepare two buckets with grit guards, fill them with warm water, and dilute your preferred shampoo (neutral or acidic) in the first one. Mix, load the wash mitt from the first bucket and wash with straight movements (never circular). Rinse the mitt in the second bucket by rubbing it against the grit guard, wring it out, and repeat. Always stop halfway up the door, leave the lower parts for last, then rinse.

  4. Protection Boost: Wax or Wet Coat for Gloss and Silky Finish

If the car does not have active nanoceramic protections, apply a wax (even in foam) or a wet coat. You will achieve more shine and a hydrophobic silky effect, simplifying drying.

  5. Pro Drying with Towel: Zero Streaks

Take a drying towel, place it fully on the hood, gently press to dampen it, and pull it towards you with both hands. Dry all horizontal areas this way; for other parts, fold the towel into 4 and proceed with straight movements. Complete Drying Guide.

  6. Tires and Rims: Even Dressing and Finishing

Avoid new microfiber cloths on tires: use a "workhorse" cloth, dry the tires well, and finish the rims. Apply your tire dressing with an applicator, spreading a thin and even layer. Let it dry and, if necessary, blot any excess after 10 minutes.

  7. Final Details: Dry Crevices and Blowing

If you have washed and dried well, the exterior windows may not require finishing. Otherwise, open doors, hood, and trunk and carefully dry the crevices. Then use a blower on mirrors, moldings, seals, and areas where water collects.

  8. Final Touch: Buffing with Soft Cloth

Conclude with a soft, dry cloth for the final buffing.
