The Classic Car Leather Care Set is specifically designed for the care of leather interiors in classic and youngtimer vehicles. It has been developed to treat old, dry, or hardened automotive leather, helping to clean, soften, and protect it against further ageing, cracking, and loss of elasticity.

The set includes a gentle cleaner, a softening treatment for dry leather, a nourishing protective treatment, and all the accessories required for correct application. This combination of products allows worn leather to be treated gradually, improving the softness of the surface.

It is ideal for preserving high-quality leather interiors, helping to maintain their appearance, functionality, and value over time.

How to use it BEST

HOW TO USE COLOURLOCK CLASSIC CAR LEATHER CARE SET

Before use, always test all products on an inconspicuous area to check their compatibility with the leather and rule out any unwanted alterations.

Cleaning

1. Pour Leather Cleaner Mild into the empty Foamer Bottle. Dispense the foam onto a sponge, avoiding direct application onto the leather.

2. Clean the surface working from seam to seam. For stubborn dirt embedded in the grain, use the leather cleaning brush to increase the mechanical cleaning action in a controlled manner.

3. Lightly dampen the included cloth and remove dirt and cleaner residue.

4. Allow the leather to dry completely. Repeat the cleaning process if necessary.

Softening with Old Leather Softener

1. Apply Old Leather Softener only when the leather is completely dry.

2. Pour a small amount onto the second sponge or a clean cloth. Spread the product evenly over the leather and gently massage it into the surface.

3. Leave the leather to rest for at least 24 hours at room temperature. During this time, avoid direct sunlight and low temperatures.

4. Repeat the treatment only if necessary, up to a maximum of three applications.

5. Once the absorption time has elapsed, remove any excess product using Leather Cleaner Mild, following the procedure described in the cleaning section.

Note: the leather will absorb only the amount of Old Leather Softener it actually needs. If residue is still present on the surface after 24 hours, this means that the leather has reached its maximum absorption level. In this case, a single application is sufficient.

Treatment with Elephant Leather Preserver

1. Apply a small amount of Elephant Leather Preserver to a cloth and spread it evenly over the surface without applying pressure.

2. Leave the product to work overnight.

3. The following day, remove any excess product with a clean cloth.

Warnings

- At low temperatures, briefly warm the grease with a hairdryer to make application easier.

- Regular and moderate maintenance carried out every 6–12 months can reduce the need for further treatments with Old Leather Softener.

- It is preferable to treat the leather more frequently, always using small amounts of product.

Note: excessive application may saturate the surface, block the leather’s pores, and impair its breathability. For this reason, always apply small amounts of product and assess the leather’s absorption before carrying out any additional treatments.
