The COLOURLOCK Complete Leather Repair Set is a comprehensive kit for cleaning, repairing, restoring colour, and protecting leather. It leaves an opaque, single-colour, satin finish. It is suitable for treating leather surfaces damaged by scratches, cracks, abrasions, discolouration, and signs of wear.

The set includes all the necessary products to carry out a complete restoration cycle: cleaners for preliminary cleaning, products for damage repair, dye for colour revitalisation, protective treatments, and application accessories. The combination of the different components allows for targeted intervention on the surface, improving its appearance and helping to keep it protected over time.

Leather Fresh helps to revive colour in discoloured or worn areas, while Leather Care and Leather Shield help protect the leather from aging, UV rays, abrasion, and dirt. Elephant Leather Preserver is suitable for older, dry, or hardened leather, where more nourishment and shine are needed.

How to use it BEST

HOW TO USE COLOURLOCK COMPLETE LEATHER REPAIR SET + COLOUR LEATHER FRESH + FLUID LEATHER

Before application, always test all products in an inconspicuous area to check compatibility with the leather and rule out any unwanted alterations. It is also recommended to wear appropriate protective gloves during all stages of work.

Cleaning

1. Pour Leather Cleaner Mild into the empty foamer bottle. For heavy soiling, use Leather Cleaner Strong. Apply the foam to a sponge, avoiding direct application to the leather.

2. Clean the surface from seam to seam with the foam, working evenly. The leather brush facilitates the removal of more stubborn dirt embedded in the material's grain.

3. Lightly dampen the included cloth and remove dirt and cleaner residue.

4. Allow to dry completely. If necessary, repeat the cleaning process.

Sanding

1. Carefully sand any rough areas using the abrasive pad.

2. Proceed carefully, without applying excessive pressure, to create smoother transitions between the damaged area and the surrounding surface.

Degreasing

1. Apply a few drops of Degreaser to the included cloth and distribute evenly over the area to be treated.

2. Allow to air dry thoroughly.

3. To check for proper surface preparation, apply paper tape and remove it. If it adheres firmly, the surface is adequately prepared.

Preparing and Gluing Grooves and Cracks

1. Apply leather glue sparingly and in a thin layer to the cracks. For small cracks or hard-to-reach areas, use the included brushes.

2. Allow the glue to dry briefly, then join the edges of the cracks edge-to-edge.

3. Where possible, reinforce the area with the included fabric by applying light pressure.

Repairing Larger Cracks and Holes

1. Cut the reinforcement fabric to size, leaving an overlap at the edges. Mark the center of the fabric with a highlighter or marker, so that it can be positioned correctly under the damaged area.

2. Secure the marked center with a pin, smooth the edges under the leather, then glue and allow to dry.

3. Apply Fluid Leather evenly to the damaged area and smooth the product with the spatula.

4. Depending on the thickness of the applied layer, allow to dry for 1-2 hours at room temperature.

5. Repeat the process until the area is evenly filled.

Warnings

- The drying process cannot be accelerated with the use of a hairdryer

- Slight shrinkage of the product during drying is normal and does not affect the final result

- Fluid Leather cannot be sanded

- Uneven surfaces can be smoothed with the GLD pen

Finishing

1. Open the GLD pen and press the felt tip several times until it is moistened.

2. Dab off any excess product, then wipe over the repaired area applying light pressure.

3. Allow to dry between each application. Replace or turn the tip if it changes color or becomes dirty.

4. Always work carefully and use the smallest possible amount of GLD, to avoid drips or smudges in the repaired area.

Coloring

1. Shake Leather Fresh well before use. Apply the product by dabbing with a sponge from seam to seam, without pouring it directly onto the leather.

2. Treat only the areas that need recoloring. Dry with a hairdryer between thin layers. Apply multiple light layers until a uniform finish is achieved.

3. After coloring, allow the leather to dry for 24 hours.

4. Uneven color application can be carefully leveled using the abrasive pad, and then proceed with a new color application.

Protection

1. Pour a few drops of Leather Shield onto one of the included cloths. Apply the product thinly and evenly from seam to seam.

2. Allow to dry. Repeat the treatment only on extremely sensitive or very absorbent leather.

Care

1. Apply a few drops of Leather Care to one of the included cloths. Distribute the product thinly and evenly from seam to seam.

2. Allow the product to dry. Repeat the treatment only on extremely dry or very absorbent leather.

3. For leather surfaces subject to intensive use, it is recommended to repeat the treatment every 3 months.

4. For leather surfaces subject to normal wear, a treatment every 6-12 months is sufficient.

For hardened leather surfaces

1. Elephant Leather Preserver is suitable for older, dry, or hardened leathers, where more nourishment is needed.

2. Apply a small amount of leather grease to a cloth and distribute it evenly without applying pressure. Allow to absorb overnight. The next day, carefully remove residues to restore the natural grip.
